I'm just wondering if someone can give me a few tips here so that I can understand the basics of mean in mathamatics. I find solving problems really difficult. I work in the evening and thus have no time left to take extra classes. Can you guys suggest any online resource that can assist me with this subject?

You really shouldn’t have spent money on a private tutor . Had you posted this message before hiring a tutor , you could have saved yourself a lot of money! Anyway, now you can’t change it. In order to make sure that you do well in your exams I would suggest using Algebrator. It’s a very easy to use software. It can solve the toughest problems for you, and what’s even cooler is the fact that it can even explain how to go about solving it! There used to be a time when even I was having difficulty understanding linear algebra, leading coefficient and unlike denominators. But thanks to Algebrator, it’s all good now .

I know a couple of professors who use Algebrator themselves to teach students.

powers, slope and triangle similarity were a nightmare for me until I found Algebrator, which is truly the best math program that I have come across. I have used it through several math classes – Algebra 2, Pre Algebra and Pre Algebra. Just typing in the math problem and clicking on Solve, Algebrator generates step-by-step solution to the problem, and my algebra homework would be ready. I highly recommend the program.

It’s amazing that a program can do that. I didn’t expect something like that could really be helpful in algebra. I’m used to be tutored by a teacher but this really sounds promising . Do you have any links for this software ?

Hi Friends , Based on your comments , I bought the Algebrator to get myself educated with the basics of College Algebra. The explanations on cramer’s rule and least common denominator were not only graspable but made the entire topic pretty exciting . Thanks a lot for all of you who directed me to have a look at the Algebrator!
