I just realized that I am running out of time in solving some issues with solve for an unknown exponent. I had kept it pending hoping that I will come upon excellent learning material or someone who can lend a hand with function definition, rational expressions and function domain. May be, I did not explore hard enough. But now I am running out of time . It is simply taxing to get a fine teacher to quickly coach me. It is beyond what I can give. And I need to find a fast way out. Can anyone who has had the same problem enlighten me as to what I can do? It will be a big help.

What exactly don't you understand about solve for an unknown exponent? I remember having difficulty with the same thing in Pre Algebra, so I might be able to give you some advice on how to approach such problems. However if you want help with math on a long term basis, then you should try out Algebrator, that's what I did in my College Algebra, and I have to say it's amazing ! It's much cheaper than a private teacher and you can work with it anytime you want . It's not hard to use it, even if you never ever used a similar program. I would advise you to get it as soon as you can and forget about getting a algebra tutor . You won't regret it!

Algebrator beyond doubt is a great piece of algebra software. I remember having problems with linear equations, simplifying fractions and graphing parabolas. By typing in the problem from workbook and merely clicking Solve would give step by step solution to the math problem. It has been of great help through several Pre Algebra, Basic Math and Algebra 2. I seriously recommend the program.

Thanks for the detailed instructions, this seems great . I needed something just like Algebrator, because I don't want a program which only solves the exercise and shows the final result, I want something that can actually explain me how the exercise has to be solved. That way I can learn it and after that solve it on my own, not just copy the answers . Where can I find the program ?

It is not at all difficult to access this program. Go to: http://www.algebra-equation.com/linear-equations-1.html. You are assured satisfaction. Otherwise you get a refund. So what is there to lose anyway? Cheers and good luck.

I remember having often faced difficulties with least common denominator, exponent rules and function range. A truly great piece of math program is Algebrator software. By simply typing in a problem from workbook a step by step solution would appear by a click on Solve. I have used it through many algebra classes – Algebra 2, Algebra 2 and Remedial Algebra. I greatly recommend the program.
