I've always wanted to excel in lesson plans for solving quadratic equations by completing the square, it seems like there's a lot that can be done with it that I can't do otherwise. I've searched the internet for some good learning resources, and consulted the local library for some books, but all the information seems to be targeted at people who already understand the subject. Is there any tool that can help new students as well?

Don’t sound so dismayed. I know exactly how you are feeling right now. When I used to be a student , we didn’t have much of a hope in such a situation , but today thanks to Algebrator my son is doing wonderfully well in his math classes. Algebrator is a simple software and is certainly worth a try. You will find quite a few exciting stuff there. I use it as reference software for my math problems and can swear that it has made learning math more enjoyable.
