decimal to square root is my worst problem. Can any one help me understand it? I am a novice at it. What book or other resource do you suggest for beginning this subject?

You seem to be stuck on that I had last month. I too thought of getting a paid tutor to work it out for me. But they are so pricy that I just could not afford them. So I turned to the internet and found so many software that can help with algebra homework on graphing equations, function composition and hypotenuse-leg similarity. After some research I found that Algebrator is the best of the lot. I haven’t found a algebra assignment that I can’t get done through Algebrator. It is absolutely unbelievable. Best part is, the software gives you a step-by-step explanation on how to do it yourself. So you actually learn how to work it out yourself. Isn’t it cool?

I am a student turned professor ; I give classes to high school children. Along with the regular mode of explanation, I use Algebrator to solve examples practically in front of the students.

You can buy it from http://www.algebra-equation.com/investigating-liner-equations-using-graphing-calculator.html. I don’t think there are too many specific software requirements; you can just download and start using it.
